Recommended Supplies List
Below is the list of Recommended Art Supplies for the drawing/art workshop classes.
This is a curated list of Art Supplies that are of better quality than the regular budget brand. They are still very reasonably priced, but with better quality, thus I feel that it should ensure a great experience when you are going through the art workshop sessions (Note : Individual experiences will vary). This list of art supplies come recommended for two reasons. One, I have experience using them, or I have researched and read reviews about them. Two, I feel that they are probably the best bang for your buck, at the time of compiling the list (Feb 2022). Some of the art supplies I do use are top of the line expensive, hence I did not include them on this list. Also, bear in mind that these art supplies have an associated affiliated link to amazon, as an Amazon Associate I earn a small commission from qualifying purchases.
I realize that in my videos I have recommended some art supplies that are not a part of this list. At the time of making those videos, those art supplies were purchased in the pre-Covid era, where prices were more economical. Post-Covid, some of those supplies are either not available anymore, or the prices have changed to the point where it is no longer as fair, thus excluded from the list.

Special Fixative Recommendation :
Any fixative will do, if price is not an option.
Winsor & Newton Fixative (The one I use when I am lazy, or in a hurry) https://amzn.to/34ViKvT
SpectraFix (THE ONLY non-toxic, real fixative option) https://amzn.to/3GHnSAN
Suave Hairspray (Fixative Alternative, was cheapest at time of search) https://amzn.to/34uwOwx
(Note : Using Hairspray as fixative means you do not have to protect from over sprays as much; because they are not water resistant, hence any over sprays can be washed off easily. What I usually do is take my piece into the place where everyone showers, when its dry and not in use. Spray the piece down laying it on the floor, and exit the area. The next time someone takes a shower essentially washes off all the over spray. Hairsprays are also non-archival.)

I’ve been learning the art/science of neuro art, but without the foundations of “why”. This course gave me a much stronger foundation of how to approach this practice. I look forward to taking more of Charles’ courses, as I spend more time with this engaging work. – Andrea I.
Mr. Lai does an excellent job at explaining not only what neurographic art is, it’s structure and rules, he also explains the reasons for those structures. He covers appropriate materials, gives a lot of tips and does so in a way that is engaging. I would definitely recommend this class! – Rhy M.
